Looking for an unusual festival to attend? You have found it here in Columbia, TN. Mule
Day is the first weekend in April (unless that's Easter weekend). For Thursday,
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, you will see more mules than you thought existed. There's a
parade, mule-pulling (as seen on A&E TV), mule shows, western mule shows (like a rodeo
but with mules), mounted competitive shooting, great food, music... just about anything you
would want. Book your rooms early in the year as we have more guests coming in than we have
hotel rooms. You won't want to miss this tradition that dates back to mule trading on the
square when mules were the tractors of their days.
